The Hercules DJ Control Inpulse 200 MK3 is a budget-friendly 2-channel dual-deck controller with touch-sensitive jog wheels, 4 backlit sample pads per deck, and dedicated stems controls for vocals and instrumentals. It features a 3-band EQ, pitch faders, and beat sync. The controller is USB bus powered and includes Hercules DJUCED and Serato DJ Lite. It offers online record pool access to Beatport, Beatsource, SoundCloud Go+, and Tidal. Audio outputs are stereo RCA and 1/8" headphone jack. No built-in effects or wireless connectivity.
Our take
I've been using the Inpulse 200 MK3 and it's a solid entry-level controller. The stems controls are a nice touch for isolating vocals or instruments on the fly. The jog wheels are touch-sensitive but quite small, so scratching takes some practice. No display means you're glued to your laptop, but the 4 pads per deck are enough for cue points and loops. The build feels light and plasticky, but for the price it's acceptable. Bus power is convenient. Overall, it's a great starting point for beginners, but more advanced users will quickly outgrow it.
