Our take
The Inpulse 500 is a step up from the 200 MK3. The touch-sensitive jog wheels are larger and more responsive, making scratching much more enjoyable. The stems controls work well for isolating vocals or instruments. I appreciate the built-in sound card and multiple outputs. The build is still mostly plastic, but it feels sturdier. Pads are backlit and responsive. My only complaint is the lack of XLR outputs and the price is higher. For a beginner-to-intermediate controller, it's a solid choice.
