Our take
I like the Hercules DJControl Mix Ultra for its Bluetooth connectivity, which cuts the cable clutter. The dual deck is a big step up from the single-deck version, and the 8 pads per deck let me trigger samples and loops easily. The protective cover is a nice touch for travel. However, the lack of built-in effects and audio outputs means you're stuck with whatever your app provides, and the all-plastic build feels a bit cheap. At $220, it's reasonable for mobile use but not for professional gigs. The jog wheels are touch-sensitive, which is okay for scratching but not as responsive as I'd like.
