About this product
The Hercules Starlight DJ Controller is a portable double deck controller in black, weighing only 1.1 pounds. It features RGB backlit buttons, jog wheels, pitch control, built-in mixer, and USB-powered plug-and-play. It supports 24-bit 44.1 kHz audio. Priced at $70.00, it's budget-friendly.
Our take
For $70, the Starlight is an incredible value. It's ultra-lightweight and USB powered, perfect for portable setups. The RGB backlit buttons look cool, and the included software works well for basic mixing. The jog wheels are small but responsive, and pitch control is accurate for a budget controller. The built-in sound card is decent. Downsides: tiny performance pads and limited I/O. The plastic build feels very light, almost toy-like. But for a beginner on a tight budget, this is a fantastic starting point. I've enjoyed using it for casual practice on the go.
