Our take
I got the Starlight as my first controller and it served me well for learning the basics. It's simple to set up with Serato DJ Lite, and the USB power means no extra cables. The build is okay for the price, but it's mostly plastic. The jog wheels are small and not very responsive for scratching. There are no dedicated effects or loop controls, which limits creativity. But as a starter controller, it's hard to beat at $100. It got me comfortable with mixing before I upgraded.
