About this product
The Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200 MK2 is an updated version of the entry-level DJ controller. It supports Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED software, and is compatible with PC and Mac via USB. Weighing 2.82 pounds, the black plastic controller features STEMS and Beatsource integration. Priced at $245.10, it targets beginners and intermediate users. The controller includes a headphone jack and USB input, but lacks listed channels and pad count. Its dimensions are 15.6 x 10.3 x 3.7 inches.
Our take
The Inpulse 200 MK2 is a nice step up from the original, with support for STEMS and Beatsource right out of the box. At $245.10, it's pricier than the first version, but the software integration is smoother. I like that it works with Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED, giving you options. The plastic construction is typical for this level, and it's lightweight enough to carry around. My biggest issue is the price jump – for a beginner controller, it feels a bit steep compared to competitors. However, the STEMS feature is really cool for creative mixing. Just be aware that you're paying for the software bundle more than the hardware.
